shelly 1/21/2006 00:00:00	Finding out……….. We found out we were expecting on Thursday morning, January 19, 2006. We were very excited, but also very nervous because it was very early as I was only 4 weeks along. Six home pregnancy tests later, time to head to work. We called Kelly and Brad in the midst of taking the tests, just to make sure we were doing them right. I called my doctor’s office and they scheduled me for a Confirmation of Pregnancy Appointment in three long weeks! They will not see you until you are between 7 and 8 weeks pregnant. So, the appointment fell when I was 7.5 weeks along, on Valentine’s Day!!!!! The rest of the day was pretty emotional and that night I called Mama and Daddy to tell them. They were excited but also nervous about how early it was. After talking to them, I decided I would go ahead and go to my primary care doctor the next morning to get a blood test, just in case those 6 home tests were wrong. So, I went to the lab on Friday morning around 10am and you guessed it, another positive. That weekend, we told Dean’s mom and dad and then called Michelle and told her. Then, we decided to hold off on telling anyone else until that confirmation appointment. The next week was pretty uneventful. We started reading and talking names, and oh yeah, we were trying to get closed on the construction loan so we could break ground on the house……. Which was scheduled to begin in March and be ready in September and did I mention the baby’s due date was also in September, the 29th to be exact! Well, week five rolled around and I got bronchitis! I fought it and wouldn’t take anything over the counter meds, I finally had to go to the doctor and get medicine, which my family doctor assured me was perfectly safe for the baby and that I needed to get better. I missed some work, a Sunday of church and absolutely coughed my head off for two weeks.
