Graham - 21 Weeks

Well, we had a few exciting moments this past week. First, on Wednesday, Graham rolled for the first time, from his tummy to his back twice. In a couple days, he did it again and now he is doing it more and more, both directions. He is showing a lot more tolerance for being on his tummy and just might crawl after all! ha! He does still like to stand up too.

His little cold and congestion is still lingering and seemed to flare back up the end of the week. So, we went back to the doctor on Friday and he confirmed the ear infection was all clear and that the other junk was still just viral. But, he did send us home with a nebulizer and medicine to give him for a breathing treatment, to try to clear out his head. So, we have been doing it every four hours during the day since Friday evening. It takes about 10 minutes and he does pretty good. But, it is hard to know how much it is really helping. The doc wants to see him back on Tuesday, so it will be good to see if he thinks there is any change. Maybe the warmer weather will help too!

Deans parents came and spent Saturday afternoon with us and went to church with us on Sunday. They had not seen Graham in several weeks, so they were excited to see all his new tricks and how he has grown. He likes to take visitors all over the house showing how he plays with all toys and activities! So, come visit!!!!!

Graham - Week 20

Graham and I are getting better, but Dean was back at the doctor this week, with bronchitis! So, we are hoping that Graham and I do not get that! After a couple days on the medicine, his ear infection seemed to clear right up, so that was good, hopefully, he wont start getting them all the time now! His little cold is still lingering a bit, but lots better. And, he is teething like crazy. We cant see any new teeth, but he seems to be really working on something!

My parents came on Valentines Day and picked Graham up from daycare and then kept him at our house the next day too. So, that was a nice mid-week treat. He brought home a Valentines card that he made for us and he even got candy for his teacher and exchanged valentines with his classmates! Then, when Dean and I got home, we all exchanged gifts, lots of fun, as you can see!

So, after trying cereal several times during the week without much luck, we decided to give carrots a try on Saturday night. It took a couple bites, but he finally seemed to catch on. It was quite messy, but he did get a good bit in his mouth. Since, he is all into grabbing for everything right now, he kept grabbing the spoon and smearing carrots everywhere! So, I guess we will stick with carrots this week and hopefully not make such a mess next time!

Graham – 19 Weeks

Well, the week of sickness carried into this week too. Dean and I are still recovering from our sinus infections. Graham seemed to have a little bit of a tough time with this round of shots and his cold seemed to be getting worse midweek. On Thursday - Daycare called at 4pm and said Graham’s eyes were getting red, some goop. So, I called the doc and they said bring him on in at 515pm. Graham has his FIRST ear infection! He got 10 days supply of amoxicillin. He was pitiful, fine one minute, screaming the next, very out of character for him. So, he is doing better now, but still fighting the cold and teething too, but through it all he still finds time to smile and be playful! It is so hard seeing him sick! Even with all these issues though, he is just waking up one time during the night!

We decided to go ahead and try the cereal this evening since we was feeling some better. He was not really interested in it at all! So, we didn’t get very far with it. I guess we will wait a few days and try again.

My mom and dad and Tammy and Mark babysat Graham for us on Saturday night so that we could out and celebrate Valentine’s Day / our three anniversary of our first date. So, that was nice, a treat for everyone. Hopefully, we will all be on the road to recovery soon!

Graham - 4 Month Check-up

Graham had his four month check up today and got a healthy report. He weighed 15 pounds and 11.8 ounces, 50th percentile and was 26 inches long, 90th percentile! (Whatever the heck those percentiles mean anyway!) Anyway, he still has his little cold and she confirmed again that it was nothing more than a cold and will probably take him another week or so to get over it. She went over the food plan with us and so we will start with rice cereal now and try that for a couple weeks and then move on to fruits and veggies. So, that will be very exciting!

We also need to start car seat shopping for the next carseat as 27 inches is the max length for his infant carrier, so pretty soon we will need to transition him to a convertible seat! Then, came the yucky part – 4 shots! He screamed during the shots, but within minutes after the shots, he was fine! Then, we had to go to the hospital lab and have some bloodwork re-done (that the lab messed up) and he screamed during that part and then when it was over, he fell asleep! So, all in all - a good report. We go back in 2 months for his 6 month check-up.

Graham - 18 Weeks

Well, this was the week of sickness! I took Graham to the doctor on Monday and she confirmed that he just has a cold, nothing she could do for him. We just need to keep cleaning out his nose and also use some saline. He woke up one time each night throughout the week until Friday and then we he went back to sleeping through the night. Dean went to the doctor on Wednesday and I went on Friday, we both have sinus infections and are on antibiotics! Our house needs to be sterilized!

Well, since Graham was having a hard time sleeping last weekend, we realized that one thing that might help him sleep better is if he had more room. So, we took the basinet section out of his pack and play in the family room and moved him down the next level for his naps and play time in there AND we decided, he had really outgrown his bassinet. He has slept in it every night since he was born. So, we put him in his crib last Sunday, BUT, we slept on a the mattress from the guest room in the floor in the nursery! By, Monday night, Dean was getting pretty sick, so he went back to our bed. I slept in the nursery the rest of the week. Friday night, Graham slept through the night again and so Saturday night, he officially slept all night in the nursery himself! Of course, we checked on him all throughout the night, but he seemed to be just fine. And, he moves around all over that crib. So, we packed up the bassinet and took it to the basement, the first of many items!

Graham has his four month check up on Tuesday and gets four shots! Not looking forward to that. Dean will get to go with us, so that is good. We had a four month photo shoot tonight. Here is a preview of one of the pictures from it. I will try to get more loaded later this week. He was a trooper as usual!

Grahams First Artwork

Graham got to bring his first art work home this week! They did it a couple weeks ago and then they did new artwork to hang up this week, so he got to bring this one home. I never dreamed I would have artwork from my 4 month old hanging on the frig! It is really neat that they do stuff like this with the little ones. Apparently, he didnt like getting his feet dipped in the paint though!!!!
