So hard to believe that Graham is seven months old, the months just keep flying by! He has started coughing again the past few days, but hopefully, it will pass quickly and not get as bad as it did before. We got to walk several evenings earlier in the week, so that nice. It is so nice that the warm weather is finally here!
Graham is continuing to be so active, as you can see here in these pictures of him in his walker, now he is all about exploring, he will pull any papers that are hanging on the side of the frig off, try to go through whatever bags are on the floor and now open drawers! He is working on the cabinet doors, but his walker is blocking those. And, he is still a rolling machine. No sooner than you lay him down anywhere, he takes off rolling. He can pivot around and scoot a little on his belly, but still not quite a crawl, but he seems very determined!
I updated lots of photos in the albums and hope to get some 7 month pics posted soon! Photo shoot time!
Warm weather, healthy days, yay! Finally! Graham definitely has his appetite back and is eating like crazy. He is back on normal bottle schedule and is eating at least three jars of stage 2 foods a day, normally one fruit and two veggies and sometimes a dessert on top of that and some juice too! We have not found a single food that he will not eat and normally he has his mouth open waiting for the next bite! It is so funny! So, we went for a weight check on Wednesday and he was at 18 pounds and 3 ounces! I am starting to pack up some of his 6-9 month clothes already and started washing up the 9-12 month ones!
He is so very active too! He can literally roll from one side of a room to the other, it is hilarious! He really wants to crawl, but will just roll to get where he wants for now. He is all over the place, forwards and backwards in his walker, especially if he sees Madison in the distance! He heads straight for her!
On Friday, we had a big event at work to celebrate our 75th anniversary, so that afternoon, we had an open house at the offices for families. So, Mama and daddy kept Graham out of daycare and then brought him to the office. He was a big hit and it was neat getting to show them around and introduce them. On Sunday, the celebration continued at the transportation museum downtown, it was closed to the public and Advance employees and families got in free. So, Deans parents met us for lunch after church and then went with us. It was really neat, Grahams first museum trip! It was a gorgeous day in the 80s! We had lots of fun. We have also got to walk the neighborhood the last two evenings. Graham really enjoys the stroller rides. It takes us about 40 minutes to walk the whole neighborhood and he just looks around checking everything out!
Here is a picture from the museum and the office. I am little behind on the photo albums, will try to get caught up this week!
Well, for the first time in weeks and weeks, we are all fairly healthy!!!! Graham was back at the doctor on Monday and had lost another four ounces and was still coughing a good bit. She sent us for a chest x-ray and did an RSV test. Both tests were negative, so it was still just probably viral, but she went ahead and started him on an antiobotic just in case there was some infection some where. So, he went back Wednesday and he had gained 3.8 ounces back and was back up to 17 pounds and 8.8 ounces! His appetite really started to pick back up and his coughing and runny nose finally started to subside. He went back to daycare on Tuesday and everyone was very glad to see him back!
On Saturday, we went to Christiansburg to see Deans parents new land and see the model of the house they are about to start building. Then when went to Michelles house and had lunch with her and Adam. We had a fun day and Graham entertained everyone.
Graham is rolling over like crazy and really seems to want to crawl. His babbling is taking on a very different sound and several people have agreed with us that it sounds like he is saying Hi and DaDa, of course who knows if he realizes what he is saying, but it is fun none the less! He is up to three jars of fruits and veggies per day and he seems to like them all about the same. He has had some juice some days too and seems to like that as well.
We redecorated the guest bathroom and officially dubbed it as Grahams bathroom. Since he takes his baths in there now, the dragonflies in pastel colors seemed a little girly, so we went with a fishy decor! So, here he is hanging out in there. He loves to go in there and look at the bright colors!
Well, Graham had another sicky week! His cold and congestion was back in full force on Monday, so we went back to the doctor. She confirmed that is it the viral bronchialitis like he had before and that it will have to run its course. We decided to pull him out of daycare for the week. So, on Tuesday, my mom came and stayed with us and took care of Graham during the days. The mornings are the worst time for him as he coughs so hard and coughs up a lot of mucous and whatever else he has eaten or drank. We kept doing his breathing treatment, cleaning out his nose and trying to feed him on schedule. The doctor wanted to see him again on Thursday. She said she could hear improvement, so to basically keep doing what we were doing. He had lost about 4 ounces since the Friday before, so she wasnt thrilled about that. She wants to see him again on Monday and just wanted to make sure he is continuing to improve.
But through it all, he still manages to have his fun playful moments and laugh and smile at us. We got his Olan Mills pictures on Thursday and they are so very good and all over the house now! A sample is below and more are posted in the photo album. They are all just so very good!
Graham and I missed Good Friday service, but we did make it to Easter service. Graham had not been to church in three weeks and me in two weeks, so needless to say everyone was thrilled to see us. He coughed a few times, but stayed awake taking everything and everyone in. Afterwards, we had both sets of parents, Kenneth, Tammy and Mark all back to our house for a big turkey dinner! It was lots of fun, and everyone had a good time.
I hope my next post talks about much better Graham is doing!!!!!
Grahams cold is back in full force and by Saturday Dean ended up at the doc and got the same medicine that I had the week before! We think we are going to be sick forever! At Grahams six month appointment on Friday, his doctor assured us that flu and cold season is almost over! He had a good check-up. He weighed 17 pounds and 13.5 ounces, 50th percentile and was 27 inches long, 80th percentile! He got three shots! Everything else checked out just fine.
His fourth tooth on the bottom broke through and the two top two are very very close. We can see the white part and his gums are staying so swollen. He seems to have spells where they are really bothering him. We are hoping after these two come through, he gets a little break, it seems like he has cut so many so fast, on top of all the sickness, he needs a rest!
On Sunday, my parents had us and Deans parents and my granny all over for lunch, so that was nice. Graham enjoyed all the attention from so many grandparents. He was all decked out in full sailor attire (see below) and had lots of fun.
The doctor advised us that we can up his fruit and veggies to two to three feedings per day. So, he just finished up applesauce and peaches and so now he is just mixing it all up with all the different ones he has tried. We will start sending a jar to daycare each day for them to feed him at lunchtime. We offered him a little juice this weekend, but he smacked his lips and made a funny face, so guess he was not too interested!
We are looking forward to Grahams first Easter next weekend and will have lots to report and lots of pictures to share!
