Graham - 2 Years, 30 weeks old

Graham's allergies caught up to him with an earache by the first of the week. As it turned out, he had his 6 month follow-up at the ENT on Tuesday morning, so we made it through Monday and headed to the doc on Tuesday morning. The good news is that the tubes are still in place and doing the job, the bad news was that he did have a mild infection in his right ear, the one he was complaining with! So, we got some drops and he said for us to come back in 6 months and most likely by that point, the tubes will be gone.

We enjoyed the weather turning warmer and got out for walks on Thursday and Friday evenings and Dean finished Graham's playset, so we had lots of fun times on it. He loves it so much already and we are really really tickled with how it turned out.

On Saturday morning, we headed out early to the nursery to get some trees for some landscaping projects. Dean stayed home and worked on those while Graham and I went to swimming, got him a haircut and got some groceries. We had a fun morning and of course, he did great at swimming again.

On Saturday afternoon, Brad, Kelly, Grey and Reed came over for a visit. The kids had a ball on the playset and playing inside and outside. It was such a gorgeous day and lots of fun. We grilled some steaks and had a great time. Graham blew off his nap on Saturday as we came home and so he was absolutely exhausted when they left. He sat down in his recliner to watch some TV around 730pm and fell right to sleep, we carried him to bed and he slept til morning!

On Sunday, we headed to church and Graham did nap on the way home this time, so that was good. He napped a good bit after we got home and I did some outside work. Then, once it cooled off a little bit, we headed out to the playset and then for a walk! I think that will be our new evening routine, which sounds great!

Here are some pics of the kids, they were just too cute!

Graham - 2 years, 29 weeks old We had another busy but fun weekend! Dean had been working a little bit throughout the week on Graham's playset. So, on Saturday morning, he stayed home to work on it and also do some yard work and Graham and I headed to swimming. He had yet another great lesson. He is excited to go and does so good during his lesson. We are going to continue through the end of May and we are so pleased with how he has done. Then, we had some fun outside play time when we got home since it was such a pretty day.

Saturday afternoon we headed to my parents to meet up with Dean's family to go celebrate Dean's moms birthday. We had reservations at West Wind Winery for dinner and wine of course. However, we didnt think Graham would sit too well through a multi-course fancy dinner, so he stayed at my parents with them and Kenneth, Danah and baby Lillain. SO, he had a big evening too! He still is so sweet and affectionate with Lillian and wants to hold her and love on her. So, we headed to dinner with Dean's parents, Michelle and Adam and had a very nice birthday evening.

We picked up Graham, a little past his bedtime and headed home. He was in his PJs and of course fell asleep in no time and slept right through til morning. It was calling for rain Sunday afternoon, so we decided to stay home from church and Mama and Daddy came down so that daddy could help Dean with the rest of the playset. They worked most of the day, minus a break for pizza and just about finished before the rain set in. Graham did get to slide and swing and he was absolutely in love. He loved being out in the yard carrying around his "handy manny toolbox" and helping them out. Dean will finish it up in the next couple days and then we will never get Graham in the house! It will be lots of fun though.

All the outside play time over the weekend did a number on all our allergies. Hopefully that will be short lived. But, we are very glad to see the warm weather and get so much outside time! Graham had not had a runny nose in ages and I had just commented about it too! Of course, he doesn't let it slow him down a bit! Everyone continues to get a kick out of how much he talks and all the things that comes out of his mouth, he is quite comical at times!

Here are few prelim pics of the playset. Graham calls it his "playhouse."

Graham - 2 years, 28 weeks old, Easter 2009

We wrapped up a very full week and weekend for Easter 2009! Dean had lots of church services to perform at and our Good Friday service was on Friday afternoon. We were both off and had a nice family day. We started out the morning by coloring Easter Eggs, we all had lots of fun, although it was a bit messy! Graham liked to just dip them in color after color after color! After we were done, we headed to Toys R Us and got a playset for the backyard, complete with a curved slide, swings, clubhouse, sandbox and picnic table. Dean has spent some time over the weekend getting it all organized and doing some of the smaller tasks in preparation for the actual assembly probably in a couple weeks. Graham caught a glimpse of the slide and got very very excited! Although he didn't understand why he had to wait!

We headed to Good Friday service at 2pm and Dean's parents joined us. It is always a nice service, complete with a very pretty solo by Dean! We headed to Panera after service, although Graham stretched out in the booth and napped during our snack and all the way home! We were hoping for some outside time but it was cold and rainy!

On Saturday, we had a full day!!!! We headed to my parents first thing for a full day of family and friends and Easter celebrating! Granny Stoots, Kenneth, Danah, Baby Lillian, Dean's parents and Mark and Tammy all joined us for a fun day. Graham got lots and lots of Easter goodies from everyone, books, movies, clothes, puzzles and of course some candy and suckers! We got outside a little bit to blow some bubbles and fly kites, but the wind and air was just a tad to cool to stay out for long, so we resorted to hiding eggs inside. Graham was of course thrilled to see Baby Lillian again. As soon as he saw me holding her, he delcared, "I need to hold her!" He just loves loving on her and rubbing her hair and talking to her, it really is sweet. We took lots of pics, but as is probably the norm, very hard to catch them both looking and smiling! Graham was worn out when we left and almost napped on the way home but then decided to talk about his day instead! He crashed hard at bedtime!

On Sunday morning, we showed him what the Easter Bunny brought him, books, movies and puzzles. He was very tickled with it all. We loaded up his Easter basket with his eggs and headed to church. He was still pretty tired from Saturday and fell asleep on the way to and from church. We did manage to snap a few pics in the church after service, so that was good. All in all, a great Easter weekend!

We didn't have swim lessons because of the holiday weekend, so we will head back to that next Saturday. We had a nice lazy Sunday afternoon watching some of Graham's new movies and resting up for the start of a new week! Graham continues to just talk up a storm to everyone. His new fave thing is to go up to someone and ask them what they are doing, it is so cute! And, of course, he continues to just go and go and go!

Graham - 2 Years, 27 weeks old

Another busy week and weekend! Graham and Dean had a good three days while I was in Minneapolis. Dean even taught him to say it. He was very very sweet when I got home and wanted to talk about me being on the airplane and of course he loved his traditional legos that I brought him. He is very in to the Dr. Seuss books right now too, so I brought him a stuffed Cat in the Hat and he was loved on it all week and drug it all over the place!

On Saturday morning, we had another terrific swimming lessons. They called Graham a superstar and talked about how relaxed he was in the water. And, this time I was the one comforting a mom who was fretting over her child fussing and not being happy with his lesson. It is truly amazing to see the progress he has made! We left swim lessons and ran a couple errands and headed home. Graham took a late afternoon nap, but at least he didn't skip it! We were hoping to get outside and play some but even though it was warm, the wind was just too brutal!

On Sunday, we headed to church for Palm Sunday service and Graham LOVED the palm leaves that were handed out. He is still talkative when we are at the communion rail, but mainly narrating,....take a drink, take a bite, etc. We headed out and met up with Mama and Daddy at IHOP, (graham's fave!) for lunch. He sat in a booster seat in between them, like a big boy. We are pretty much past the high chair stage in most every restaurant now, so far so good, as long as we can get booths!

We left IHOP and headed over to the mall, Graham was all ready to go see the Easter Bunny and ride the train! He went nuts watching the train go around and around while we waited for our turn. And, he seemed all excited to see the Easter Bunny. He went right up to him, gave him high fives and was totally okay with posing for a photo, as long as MOMMY was right there by his side, so as you can see...... we were both in the pic! Then, he rode the train with Pawpaw and had a grand time! We were afraid he would want to ride again, but he was content and ready to head off to our next stop. Daddy took him to a kiddie play area and he had lots of fun there and also riding some mechanical rides, which not too long ago, he wanted no part of! We stopped and had some ice cream and then headed home, Graham was asleep practically within minutes and napped all the way home and then some. So, that was good. We go to play some outside when he woke up, so that was very nice and we have spring fever very very badly!

We are shopping around for playground / swingset systems for the backyard and hope to get one of those soon, so that will make our outside time even more fun. We are also getting more and more excited for summer time to get here so we can get back over to the lake and the pool, it will be so much fun this summer! We are gearing up for a busy Easter week and weekend. Dean and I are both off on Friday and we will keep Graham home with us and head to Good Friday service on Friday afternoon. Then, on Saturday, we are heading to my parents for a big family Easter celebration! Lots of pics, I am sure!
