We had a good week this past week, got to walk most every evening and really really hate to see it getting dark earlier each evening! Graham continues to be super vocal and adding more and more words and sentences to his vocabulary. He is making some headway on the ABC song, his numbers to 10 and he randomly spits out Twinkle Twinkle Little Star! He continues to learn lots of new things in his new classroom too, so that has been good.
On Saturday, we stayed home most of the day and went to a Surprise 40th bday party for Missy across the road. It was lots of fun and Graham of course enjoyed being around all the people and the dogs too!
On Sunday, we went to the early church service for the last time. Next time we go back to church, the choir will be back to singing at the 11am service, so will get back to that schedule. After church, my parents met us at IHOP for brunch, so that was fun. Then, we all headed home. We went for a fun walk, without the stroller this evening. Graham likes to hold onto Madison's leash when we do that, but we were also practicing with his "monkey leash," which he does really well with!
This Thursday, we are heading out for vacation to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. We have several fun days planned and will be back the day after Labor Day. We are really looking forward to getting away and meeting up with some friends!!!!
We have started working on Graham's two year photo shoot, he has several different new outfits to model and we have several different backdrops to use. We just have to find him in the right mood and willing to be still..... even for two seconds, not always easy!!! Here is a sneak peak, he just decided to lay down in the middle of the shoot!
We got back in to a normal routine this week after me being gone last week. But, on Wednesday, I came down with Graham's pink eye. Luckily, the doctor called me in some drops, just like Graham's doc did and in a couple days, it was all cleared up. Not sure how Dean avoided it, but so far, so good.
On Thursday, we went met Tammy for a picnic in the park. First, we ate our dinner at the picnic shelter, then Graham ran all over the place playing on the playground equipment, chasing squirrels and picking up lots and lots of sticks! He fell asleep almost as soon as we get in the jeep!It was a very fun evening and one we plan to do again.
On Saturday, we had a full day, we left the house around lunchtime and dropped Dean off at his parents house and then Graham and I went on to my parents to visit some family that was in from out of town. Then, we left there and went by to visit Brad, Kelly, Grey and Reed and then picked up Olive Garden for dinner and headed to Dean's parents with that and stayed there till bedtime and headed home! It was a packed full day with lots of stops, but lots and lots of fun. Graham had fun everywhere we went!
On Sunday, we went to early service and then to IHOP for brunch. We took it easy the rest of the day and just had a lazy day at home. We are still getting to walk most evening and already dread seeing that come to end as it is already starting to get dark earlier!!!!!
Well, we all survived my week out of town, but of course it was eventful. I dealt with travel delays on Monday and Dean and Graham dealt with pink eye on Tuesday! Dean had to go back to daycare and pick him up and stop at the pharmacy and get some eyedrops. So, they got to spend Dean's bday at home together! Otherwise the week went really well for all of us and I was very very happy to get home on Thursday night. I got in a little early and had a couple hours with Dean before bedtime, so that was great!
On Saturday afternoon, we headed to the pool for awhile, Graham continues to just have a ball in the water and love every minute of it. He loves to explore around the pool and beach area, but still doesn't want to get to close to the waves crashing in on the beach. We got pizza for dinner to top off the day!
On Sunday, we had a belated bday get together for Dean. My parents, his parents, Kenneth and Danah and Al, Michelle and Adam all came over and we had a Mexican Fiesta! It was lots of fun and great to have everyone together. Graham, of course, provided all the entertainment, mainly with a dollar punch ball! He went as hard as he could go all afternoon, not hardly sitting down for a minute. Needless to say, he went right to sleep at bedtime! I will try to get party pics loaded soon and a few other lake outings as well.
Graham has officially moved into the two-year old room at daycare. He has been visiting for the past few weeks and Friday he officially moved in! He really seems to be doing much better in there, not as much hitting and fighting over toys. This room is a little more advanced and educational with the activities and not quite as babyish as the other room, I guess more like a pre-school environment. He really likes his teachers and several of his classmates from the former room have moved up too. So, hopefully, it will be really good for him.
On Saturday morning, Graham and I went to a local park and hit the playground while Dean was in a meeting at church. We had lots of fun and he was all over the place, until a thunderstorm chased us away. Then, we ran some errands, ate lunch and headed home, it was a fun mommy and graham morning! On Saturday evening, we went to Red Lobster for dinner to celebrate Dean's bday a few days early (it is Tuesday), we had a very nice dinner and Graham had lots of fun too! Graham and I gave him his presents when we got home and Graham is a good little helper with presents!
On Sunday, we got back to church for the first time in a few weeks, everyone had missed Graham (and us) very much. Unfortunately, the nursery teacher was not there today, so we took Graham into service and that lasted less than 10 minutes......too much sitting still and being quiet! So, Graham and I headed to the nursery for the rest of service and came back for the end!
Well, Monday morning, I am flying to Minneapolis for work and won't be back until Thursday evening. I will take Graham to daycare on Monday morning and that will be it! Dean will be in charge of the rest of the week til I get back just before bedtime on Thursday night! It will be really hard, but I am sure we will all do fine! I hope!!!!
