Graham - ONE YEAR

WOW, a whole year since Graham came in to our lives! So hard to believe. We had a busy week preparing for Grahams party, which was on Saturday afternoon at our house. On Friday afternoon, we went to daycare for Grahams party there. I took cupcakes for the kiddos who could eat them. Graham played around with the icing a little bit before he finally got the hang of it. His classmates made him a really neat card with all their handprints on it and they gave him a book.

It was a beautiful fall day for Grahams party. Graham took a nice long two hour nap before the party started so he was in a great mood all afternoon. We had about 14 family members and friends join us for a fun filled afternoon. We had a tropical fish theme for the party. Graham got so many nice gifts, toys, books, tons of clothes and money for his bank account! He liked playing with all his new presents and often crawled away to play with them leaving me to keep unwrapping!

My mama made him his own fishy cake, which he slowly dug in to. He still wasnt too sure about the cake and icing, he played with it a little bit, then started throwing it over the side of his high chair. It was fun to watch! After gifts and cake, we watched a movie that we had made of Grahams first year with us. It was amazing to see how much he has changed and grown over the past year. Then, we went outside for some bubble fun, Graham wasnt too sure what all the hubbub was about, but we all sure had fun making bubbles! Graham was worn out when everyone left, he took a little catnap, then played some more then was ready for bath and bed. He slept 11 hours straight through Saturday night!!!

Then, our busy weekend continued on Sunday. We went to church and then left straight from there and headed downtown to walk in the JDRF fundraising walk with my co-workers. Thanks to everyone who sponsored us! We had a lot of fun, but Graham finally konked out about half way through the route! I think he was partially still tired from Saturday! He slept right through the end of the walk and the picnic afterwards and all the way home!

All in all, a wonderful weekend and wonderful YEAR with our precious baby boy! We go to the doctor on Wed for his one year appointment!

Graham - Week 51

One week until the big ONE! WOW! We have been spending the past week and this weekend getting ready for Grahams party next Saturday. We are very excited. Graham is at such a fun stage right now! His "language" is really changing and he sounds like he is carrying on such important conversations. He is really in to Hi and Bye right now and loves to wave now.

He ate lots of new food this past week and continued drinking whole milk just fine. He has just a little bit of formula left and then he will be on all milk, he pretty much is now. He still eats jars too, which is interesting because so many people say that once kiddos taste table food, they wont touch jar food again, but he stills eat his jar foods just as well, so that is good.

He is still crawling like mad but showing some occasional interest in walking. He likes to walk all the way around the coffee table, then take a step over to the couch or go from chair to chair. I guess when he decides he is ready to walk, he will just take off, so for now, we just have to watch out! He truly knows no fear and will reach, grab and pull up on anything, whether it is stable or not and he loves to crawl under things and get in to tight spaces. He keeps it interesting, that is for sure!

Next week - PARTY PICS!!!!!

Graham - Week 50 Graham is still eating table food so-so and sticking with jars at some meals, it just all depends on the food and what his mood is! Luckily, he still eats the jar food very well, so we try table food first and if he isnt interested then, we just go with jars. He has also started drinking whole milk a couple times a day. He does pretty well taking it out of his sippy cups, but prefers his bottle at naptime and bedtime, but he doesnt seem to care whether it is milk or fomula, so once we finish up the formula that we have, he will be on all milk! He is about the same stage with his walking, still really would rather just crawl except for when we coax him to walk. Everyone keeps saying it wont be long now! He did learn to wave and say bye-bye this week, so that has been lots of fun.

Deans parents came to visit this weekend and went to church with us. We had a nice visit. Graham goes to the nursery every Sunday now until time for communion. There are lots of toys and balls and normally there is atleast one or two other kids, so that works out well. Of course, when we go back into the church, he lets everyone know he has made his arrival! Everyone loves to hear him!

At daycare last week, a photographer came in and took Ole Time Photos of all the kids and we got them back this past Thursday. They were so cute, I had to buy a package with both poses. It was neat that they hit right at his one year milestone.

So, in two weeks, we celebrate the big ONE!!! So hard to believe!!!!!

Graham - Week 49
Graham decided this past week that maybe that table food wasnt so great after all, so we are back to hit or miss on tables foods and he is back to eating jars a good bit too. He does pretty good at daycare, I guess watching all the other kiddos eat the yummy foods gets him interested! He is still preferring crawling to walking, and is soooo fast. He will takes steps and stand for us occasionally, but he hasnt taken off yet totally on his own.

My mom met me at the mall on Saturday and we had his one year pics made. I had coupons for specials at both Sears and Olan Mills so we hit both places! Needless to say, he got a little tired by the end and konked out asleep in the stroller as I was paying at the second stop. He did really well overall and here are some of the ones from Sears. I will try to get the rest loaded in an album soon. Then, I get the Olan Mills later this month.

When we got home from doing that, we had our annual neighborhood picnic, I am the organizer for it, so that means it was right in front of our house! So, that was nice! We had a good time and Graham entertained all the neighbors crawling all around them and he even took a nap at one point!

On Sunday, my parents came for a visit and got to see all Grahams new tricks, he continues to just be into anything and everything that he can get into! He is so much fun to play with! And, again, so hard to believe, he will be ONE in just a few weeks!!!!

Graham - Week 48 / 11 months

Graham is still eating wonderfully for us and also at daycare. He will eat most anything that we offer to him. We are still giving him some jars here and there and he will happily take those as well! I took him for 11 month weight check on Friday and he weighed in at 23 pounds! Still a growing boy! I am anxious to see his height at his one year appt as well.

Graham is still taking a few steps for us every day and standing alone more and more. He still continues to say ball like crazy, everything is still a ball, but we hear a new word here and there too.

We spent Labor Day Weekend in Baltimore, in the Inner Harbor. We drove up on Saturday and are heading back on Monday. We visited some other mommy friends of mine that I know through my favorite mommy website! It was lots of fun and Graham enjoyed playing and playing and playing some more with all his new friends. The Inner Harbor was very pretty and we had lots of fun.

It is just so hard to believe that it is September already and that in a few weeks we will be celebrating Grahams first birthday! Time sure flies when you are having fun and we are having loads and loads of fun. Pics are from Grahams 11 month photo shoot.
