Graham - 34 Weeks

We had a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend for Grahams first Memorial Day holiday. The weather was awesome and we were at the lake all three days! On Saturday, we went to the pool at our marina and got Graham in the pool for the first time. We had gotten him the float in the picture and it worked so good, with the canopy. He really seemed to enjoy it, he even just liked being carried around in the water. There was hardly anyone at the pool, so it was lots of fun.

Then, on Sunday afternoon after church, Mama and daddy came down and Christen stopped by as she was passing through the area and we ate a big lunch, then Christen headed home and we headed back to the lake. Daddy and Dean got the motor mounted on the boat after Dean repaired it in the off season, so he is good to go. Then, we went to the pool and Graham got in the water again and had more fun!

And, on Sunday, we went to the Gardners marina and went sailing with them. We always have so much fun on their boat and Graham fit right in. He loved looking around at everything and playing with whatever he could get his hands on. We had his life jacket for him and he didnt seem to mind it. He even took a nice long nap at one point during the afternoon. He and I went down below and had lunch in the cabin and he had fun rolling around and playing down there. He was a natural little sailor man!

Graham will be 8 months old on Tuesday, so hard to believe! Where has the time gone?????? We tried some outside photo shoots for his 8 month pics, but since he hasnt had much outside time yet, he was much more interested in the grass and dirt than looking at the camera, but we managed to get a few good shots. All the pictures from the weekend and his 8 month shoot are all loaded up in the photo album. I am caught up this time!

It is so nice that the warm weather is finally here and we look forward to lots more sailing time, pool time and just general outside time!!! Happy Memorial Day!

Graham - 33 Weeks

We had our first big weekend road trip with Graham this weekend up to DC, so that was lots of fun. He is such a good car rider, he slept almost the entire trip coming and going!!!! We had dinner with friends Friday night and Saturday night and breakfast with some of the church friends from Deans former church before going to church on Sunday morning. Dean didnt get the Sunday off, he joined the choir and sang with them. Graham was quite the hit with everyone and enjoyed taking everything in. He loves to sit in the high chair in restaurants and look around at everything that is going on. Below is a fun shot of him in PF Changs on Saturday night and then in his Sunday best at church.

We went for a weight check last Tuesday and he weighed in at 19 and a half pounds. So, still growing like crazy. His 8th tooth is just about to break through for him. Maybe after that one he will get a little breather!!!!

I took lots of pics along the travels and will try to get those loaded up this week. We are looking forward to a nice three day weekend for Memorial Day, and Monday, the Gardners have invited us to go sailing with them! So, Graham will get to make his first trip out on the lake! We are very excited! I am sure I will snap a few pics, ha!!!!

Graham - Week 32

Happy Mothers Day! We had a very nice Mothers Day weekend. We spent all day Saturday with the Moms and Grandmas. We stopped in Christiansburg first and had breakfast with Cal, Carol, Michelle and Adam and then visited with them for awhile. Then, we went to my parents house and went to dinner them and Kenneth and then we visited Granny Stoots. So, it was a packed full day.

On Sunday, we went to church and Graham went to the nursery for the first time. It was weird not having him in the service with me, but he is just so active and verbal now, he was really starting to get disruptive the last couple weeks. He also doesnt like to be held for an hour and half either, he wants to be down rolling around and such. So, anyway, there were a couple other little boys in there and he did fine. I went and checked on him once and then went back and got him for communion. After church, the three of us went to Hotel Roanoke for lunch, very very yummy! It was a very special day, the hotel has lots of very special memories for us, so it was a very fitting place to go for my first Mothers Day. Graham and Dean took me shopping and got me a white and yellow gold diamond and sapphire ring (Grahams birthstone), it is so pretty! And, I got so many sweet cards too from lots of people!

Graham made me some presents at daycare that I got on Friday. There was a poem with his handprints on it and and some photos that they took of him and made into a magnet, so that was special!!! We had a crazy busy week this past week because of my work schedule and this coming week is gonna be pretty busy too. Then, we are heading out on Friday afternoon to go to Fairfax visiting for the weekend. We are seeing several friends as well as going to Deans church there, so everyone is very excited that we are coming!

I finally caught up on the photos on the website, I added some new albums and caught up the weekly pics too, so check them out!

Graham - Week 31

Graham still has that little cough going on. We went back to the doctor just to make sure it wasnt anything other than what it had been before, same ole viral junk. He did weigh 18 pounds and 14.5 ounces, so that was 1.5 pounds since he was there last. So, that is very good! He mainly coughs real hard when he first wakes up, so the doc says that is just a lot of drainage from laying all night. So, we are just keeping an eye on it and giving him his breathing treatments and trying to keep his nose cleaned out.

Then, on top of that Dean and I both came down with the stomach virus on Monday night and it pretty much knocked us on our behinds! We had to get mama to come and take care of Graham while we were out and we definitely didnt want to give it to him! So, we all stayed home Tuesday and Wednesday. Hopefully, that is the last we see of that!!!!

Graham is continuing to be so active and do new things every day. One of his favorite things to do is to clap his hands, when something is going on or when nothing is going on or when his diaper is being changed, he just loves to clap! It is so cute! He was clapping along with the hymns in church this morning, so sweet! He is sitting on his own a lot more now and even when he is sitting somewhere than he can lay back, he will still sit up. He loves being in his jumper that hangs in the doorway too. Now, he will jump up and down in it over and over and laugh and have the biggest time. It sounds like the house is falling down though if you are in another room and hear it!

He also continues to get more and more mobile in his walker. At first, he coudlnt get it to go on the carpet, well, a little persistence and seeing Madison hiding from him and now he can even make it across the carpet. (She had figured out that was her one place to get away from him, oh well!)

We are looking forward to Mothers Day next weekend and getting to celebrate with both Moms/Grandmas and to celebrate my first Mothers day!!!!
