Well, we all survived me being away for a week. It was a long busy week for all of us. I had a good trip, busy, but good and not too terribly cold! Dean and Graham did pretty good, although Graham was still waking atleast once most every night and couple times the last night. They were very happy to see me on Friday evening and greeted me at the door with lots of hugs and kisses.
I was mostly better by the time I left, but now Dean is getting it! So far Graham seems to have dodged it, so that is good and he broke the streak of being sick and having to miss daycare while I was gone. On Friday night and Saturday night, he resumed sleeping all night, so that was wonderful! Hopefully that is the new trend!
We didn't have swimming lessons on Saturday, so we just stayed in all day and took it easy and had a nice family day. On Sunday, we headed back to church and everyone was glad to see us since we had missed a couple weeks. We took it easy the rest of the day and then started to gear up for the new week.
Graham's weekend nap schedules are still a bit off. On Saturday, he fell asleep in his recliner watching TV in the late afternoon and then Sunday he slept later and then didnt nap at all! Here is a cute shot of him napping, a rare moment of him being still.......
We had a tiring and sicky week this past week. Graham has been waking quite a bit just about every night. Most nights he will go back to sleep quickly after we tuck him back in and talk to him for a minute, but it seems to be happening more often and lasting longer. On Tuesday morning, he (and I) were awake from 4am on! His teacher said he didn't miss a beat, and he even had gymnastics class that day! Everything else seemed to be normal, his eating, his naps, etc, just randomly waking at night. He wasn't showing any signs of sickness, but he would frequently ask to eat!
By Thursday, I was full force under way with a sinus infection. After a busy week at work and not much sleep at home, I gave in and went to the doc on Friday and did in fact have a sinus infection. I got some meds and finished out the work day, feeling pretty rough.
On Saturday morning, I was still feeling pretty bad, so Dean and Graham went on to swimming without me. He did really well and even learned some new techniques. His teacher was quite impressed. We have next Saturday off for a winter break, so hopefully when we go back the next week, he will be just as far along.
We just took it easy at home the rest of the weekend. Graham didn't nap on Saturday at all, which seems to be a new trend for him. Dean went to church without us too so that I could stay home and rest some more and try to let the medicine start working. We ran to the grocery for a quick stock up before I leave and Graham did squeeze a nap in while we were out.
I head out on Monday morning right after I drop off Graham and I wont be home until Friday evening. I will miss Dean and Graham bunches! It will be my longest trip away! I am sure Dean and Graham will do just fine, but of course, I will be checking in lots!
In honor of boys week, here is a cute pic, I took recently. Graham noticed Dean working on his laptop and went and got his and wanted to sit right beside him.
After a long cold week, it was so nice to have another warm weekend. Graham totally gets the weather changes and knows he has to have his coat and hood and knows to run to the car / daycare as we come and go each day. One cold evening, he even said COLD, GO AWAY! It was cute!
On Saturday morning, we headed to swim lessons, Graham had a really good lesson and despite the fussing at first, he did really really good in the water. By the end, he was jumping off the side in to the pool over and over again!
Saturday was the 5th anniversary of my and Dean's first date, hard to believe! So, we had dinner plans for Saturday night, so Mama came down to watch Graham on Saturday night. We had a fun afternoon on Saturday, taking a walk / stroller ride through the neighborhood and playing in the yard. Graham had a fun time riding on his tricycle that he got for his birthday. He has finally started to get the hang of it, so that was fun.
Graham and mawmaw finished out the evening with dinner, bathtime and bedtime and Dean and I had a yummy dinner at The Library restaurant. On Sunday morning, Daddy joined us and Graham and I stayed home from church. I had some work to catch up on and they entertained Graham. We also had more outside time and we really have spring fever now! Graham threw a fit when it was time to come, I think he has the fever too!
We have a busy week coming up as I am leaving next Monday, the 16th to spend the week working in Minneapolis. So, I will be busy preparing the house and Dean and Graham for me to be gone!
We had another week with no sickies, knock on wood! We are soooo ready for warm weather to be here! Graham continues to just talk up a storm. He talks non-stop anytime we are out and about in the car and can tell us things about his day. He is still taking both music and gymnastics class and really likes them. We had our first parent teacher conference with his teacher this past week and it went really well. We got tons of feedback and even learned a few things like that he knows the Pledge of Allegiance and they say it everyday. So, of course, we had to get him to say it for us! He is also getting really good with reciting the grace at the table before meals and with saying his prayer list at bedtime (same list most every night). He has definitely had a language explosion.
On Saturday, we headed back to swim lessons. We are going to stick with them through the spring. He still complains at bit to start with it, but then he does so good in the water. He floated unassisted on his back for over 10 seconds again and that is just amazing to watch. A couple of his classmates were out sick, so he got lots of time in the water. After swimming, we headed home and stayed in the rest of the day. Graham decided that he didn't want to take his nap, and then he fell asleep watching TV in his recliner at about 6pm! Sure enough, we took him to bed and other than wanting some water around 10pm, he slept straight through til 7am!
We headed to church on Sunday and Graham has been doing very well in church and when we go in for the blessing. Of course, the nursery is full of legos, so he quickly tells us that he is going to play legos at church.
After church, since the weather was very nice for a change, we decided to ride over to the lake and check on the boat and mess around for a bit. It was such a pretty day, not a cloud in the sky and the sky was so blue. Graham enjoyed walking around and looking at all the boats and playing with sticks and looking at the water. It was a fun time and we cant wait to get back over there every weekend this summer! We got home later in the evening and I made a bit pot of chili and we watched Kung Fu Panda, it was very cute and Graham went to bed talking about it! (No big superbowl parties here! ha!)
