Graham - 2 years, 17 weeks old

Graham is finally all better from all the sickies, finished up his medicine and things got back to normal. We are really ready for flu and cold season to be over and hope that we dont have anymore sickies, knock on wood!

We had a busy week during the week and then were very excited for our trip to go visit Miss Lillian (and everyone else too, ha). So, we had a full day on Saturday. First we headed to swim lessons, we had missed two weeks, so Graham was getting settled pack in to the class. He still is a little fussy about the whole starting up part, but does really good when he gets in the water. After class we were in the locker room and he told me, I want my sucker.....so he was all ready for that treat sucker he knows he gets at the end.

After class, we got some lunch and got on the road. We stopped and visited at my parents house for a little bit and then went to see Kenneth, Danah and Lillian. Graham was very very sweet with her. He liked to stroke her and pointed out when she was crying, sleeping, drinking her milk, etc. We had a 1st photo shoot / family photo shoot / valentines phoot shoot, so needless to say, I took LOTS of pics! Here is a sweet one of Graham and Lillian, he was trying to love on her and she was just laying there chilling out.

I forgot how easy photo shoots are when the subject is mobile!!! As you can see Lillan just laid there and made it very easy to snap pic after pic! She was a little doll and just like Graham did when he was a baby, was a sleep for a good portion of the shoot!

Then, we went back to my parents for dinner and daddy went and got Granny to visit with us as well, so that was a treat for everyone. She had not yet met Lillian and she always loves watching Graham. We had a nice dinner, played, watched Lillian sleep and then got headed home at bedtime!

It was a fun weekend and we look forward to lots more cousin photos!

Graham - 2 years, 16 weeks old

Graham is much better after his latest round of sickies. He went back to daycare for the whole week and settled right back in. His appetite returned in full force, so that was great. He finished up his medicine and hopefully the sickness will stay away for awhile!

We had a pretty low-key week and weekend otherwise. Graham continues to just talk in sentences and have the most entertaining conversations with us. He is starting to ask lots more questions to, like why and what and how come, so we have to be ready with answers to everything!

On Saturday, we just stayed home and played catch up around the house. There was no swimming lesson due to the MLK holiday, so that worked out good since it was so cold and since Graham was just getting over getting sick. On Sunday, everyone was very glad to see us back at church.

Next Saturday, we plan to go see Miss Lillian and introduce her and Graham. He loves looking at her pictures and talking about "baby Lillian," so I can't wait for them to meet and let the photoshoots ensue, ha!

Here is a cute pic from Saturday night. Graham has always had a thing for elephants, and so on Saturday, we sat down to watch Dumbo. Before we could start the movie, he wanted all his stuffed elephants gathered up and he sat just like this the whole movie! It was toooo cute!

Graham - 2 Years, 15 weeks old

Well, this was a crazy week! We headed back to work on Monday and daycare called around naptime and said he was running another fever. Dean picked him up a little early and then stayed home with him on Tuesday. Throughout the day Tuesday, he seems to get a little more irritable, he had a little bit of a cough and runny nose, but certainly not as bad as we have seen on some occasions. Tuesday evening, we were able to get him in to his doctor so that we could try to figure out where the fever was coming from. As it turns out, she was much more concerned about the fact that he wasn't moving that much air in his chest than the fever. We had to do a breathing treatment in the office and she sent us home with meds to drag out the nebulizer at home. She just wanted us to keep treating fever with tylenol and motrin and she wanted to see him again on Thursday.

So, on Wednesday, I stayed home with him, he was about the same. His appetite was declining over the week and the fever kept lingering. So, Thursday morning, we headed back to the doctor. She decided to go ahead and get him started on a 10 day antibiotic and give it until to Monday to see if approved. So, we headed to the pharmacy and back home! Medicine time was not fun, we finally found a system that worked, a little force and a big sucker waiting!

Dean stayed home with him on Friday and he seemed so much better, no fever for the first time in days and the breathing treatments seemed to be really helping. He still wasn't eating great, but we thought he was really turning the corner. Graham had lots of fun playing at home and of course spent lots and lots time with his legos, as seen here!

So, we planned to have a very busy Saturday. I had to head to the Neighborhood's annual homeowner's meeting and Dean and Graham were going to return to swim lessons. The doc said it would be fine if his fever had broken. Well, sure enough, he woke up very cranky, congested and irritable on Saturday morning, so we decided to nix swimming and I headed to the meeting. When I got home, Dean had spent the morning tending to a very cranky little boy.

So, I left them at home and headed to the hospital to meet Miss Lillian Marie! Danah was admitted last Thursday and Lillian was born on Friday afternoon! She was healthy and perfect! I made the two hour trek to the hospital she was in and got to see for myself how perfect she was! Kenneth and Danah were beaming and Mawmaw and Pawpaw were pretty proud too! We had a nice visit, took tons of pics (check out the photo album) and then headed home to my boys. Hopefully, Graham and Dean will get to meet her soon.

On Sunday, Graham and I stayed home from church, to give him some further time to bounce back. He seems to be feeling some better today. The medicine is probably messing up his appetite some, as it is not quite back yet, but the fever seems to be gone for good! So, we are gonna head back to work and daycare on Monday and hope that we are on the tail end of this round of sickies!

Graham - 2 years, 14 weeks old

Well, apparently Graham had different ideas about this week. We headed back to work / daycare on Monday and around lunchtime on Monday, I got the call.....he had a fever of 103.4! So, I finished up my lunch and headed to get him and worked from home the rest of Monday and all day on Tuesday. Once I got some meds in him, the fever broke and he seemed fine, so just one of those mystery fevers. I called the doctor's office and they said it was probably just some sort of virus!

On Wednesday, New Year's Eve, we went to Dean's parents to have their traditional fondue feast. It was lots of fun and very yummy. We were back home well before the New Year rolled in and were even sound asleep when the ball dropped! We spent New Year's Day un-decorating the house and cleaning. Then, on Friday, we headed to back to work for one day.

Graham has taken so much interest in music. We attribute some of it to his weekly music class. Dean has also been getting his trombone out and letting him play it and then Dean's dad has a bugle that he loves to play as well, although he calls it a trumpet. He loves his toy drum and now even puts legos on his fingers and clicks them together like castanets! Here is just a sampling of him in action.

On Saturday, Graham and I headed back to swim lessons. Dean had choir practice, so it was just Graham and I. We had not been since mid-November, so I wasn't really sure how it was gonna go.........once we got there he immediately knew where we were and got whiny like before. He fussed when I left him with the instructor, but went right in the water with her. I guess because of the holiday, attendance was low, so he basically got a private lesson. He was in the water the whole 30 minutes and never had to sit out a turn. She told me aftewards that after about 5 minutes, he was right back where he left off. Multiple times she would let go of him and he would float on his back for 10 seconds or so. He went under and swam back to the wall and climbed out on to the side over and over as well! It was so great to see him do it! After class, he got a sucker and we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch!

On Sunday, we had our re-scheduled Christmas music program that had gotten delayed because of the organ being replaced. Dean always has a couple solos, but this year, he had three beautiful solos. For one of them, basically he sang and the choir accompanied him, it was gorgeous. His parents came to the service as well and enjoyed hearing him sing. After church, we headed home and Graham took a long nap. When he woke up, it had gotten quite warm outside so we took his remote control car that Uncle Kenneth got him for Christmas and headed for the driveway. He had lots of fun and only stopped when he became more interested in helping daddy wash the jeep! That was quite a scene. After they were done, we got Madison and went for a nice family walk!

We are still awaiting Miss Lillian's arrival. Danah heads back to the doctor on Wednesday, so we are thinking sometime by the end of the week, she will be here! We cant wait to meet her!
