Graham - 22 months old

Graham will be 22 months old on Tuesday, wow! So hard to believe how close he is to turning two! We have been practicing with him on saying two and holding up two fingers, we will see if he has it down by his bday! He is saying so many more sentences and communicating with us so much more, it is so exciting everyday to see what new things he will come up with.

On Friday night and Saturday, I directed a wedding for my friends Lauren and Kyle. Dean and Graham were on their own on Friday night and Saturday afternoon and evening. They had lots of fun and I did too!

On Sunday, we slept in (well, until 730am..... that is late for Graham on a weekend). Then, my parents came down and we headed to the lake. We stopped and got some KFC on the way and picnic'ed before hitting the pool. Graham is getting so brave in the pool, he will just walk right down the steps and nearly go under as he hits the bottom step. He also started jumping in from someone's arms on the side into waiting arms in the water. When he is "swimming," he will push your arms away and try to get you to let go of him and his new fave trick is to swing from the railings going down into the pool! He still loves his boat as well and riding on us on floats too. Dean and daddy went sailing after awhile in the pool and Mama and Graham and I hung out by the lake. We did go and see them off and Graham conducted his routine inspection of the boat! After they got back, we hit the pool again and then called it a day. Graham was asleep almost instantly on the way home, as usual he was totally zapped!

Here are a couple pics.......

Graham - 1 Year, 42 weeks old

We got back into to the swing of things after our little beach trip. Graham got settled back into daycare and is actually starting to visit the two year old room that he will moving up to in probably about a month. They think he is close to being ready, so he is visiting pretty regular to get him used to it. On Thursday, he had his first session of water play, we packed him up with all his gear, swimsuit, towel, swim diaper, etc and they have sprinklers and water tables for them to play in. They said he had a ball!

On Saturday, we headed to the lake for the afternoon. We hit the pool first, Graham has so much fun in the water, in and out of his boat. When he was out of his boat and splashing around "swimming," he would even say, "I Kick!" It was so cute! We went and motored around on the boat a little and he doesn't mind the rocking a bit. He likes to hold on to the tiller and help Dean steer the boat and also do lots of inspecting! He was worn out as usual and fell asleep on the way home.

On Sunday, we headed to church, but Graham apparently had an upset tummy of some sort and threw up in the car on the way, so turned around and came back home and just took it easy. Graham seemed fine, and within an hour or so after we got back home was walking around saying, eat eat, more more. So, we just gave him light stuff and no milk. So, hopefully that was just an isolated incident!!!!!

I did get all the beach pics loaded into the photo albums. There are over 200 of them, so I split them up into several albums. Enjoy!

Graham - 1 year, 41 weeks

Graham had a big time this week at the beach! Mama and daddy came to our house on Wednesday and we headed out early Thursday morning to Myrtle Beach, SC! We wanted to get on the road early and as it turned out Graham woke up at 530am! We hit the road and got to the beach by noon. Graham must have been super vacation excited as he did not close his eyes for even one second the whole trip! We walked down to the beach and let Graham check it out, he wasn't too sure about it at first, so then we headed to the pool, which of course he instantly loved! We played a bit and then hit a seafood buffet for dinner.

On Friday, we hit the beach early and it didn't take Graham long at all to warm up the beach! He loved playing in the sand and running around on the beach, but still wasn't to crazy about getting in the water and the waves. We still had lots of fun though! After dinner, we went to Broadway on the Beach for dinner at Joe's Crab Shack, got a Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt and a few other souvenirs and called it a day!

Saturday morning, we were back out on the beach early and Graham was really settled in, helping Paw-Paw build creations, chasing the beach ball, wandering around on the beach, he was having a ball, as were we! We also enjoyed the lazy river at the pool. After nap, we got ready and headed back over to Broadway. Graham, daddy and I rode the carosel and them Graham hit a little boat kiddy ride, which he loved and did NOT want to get off. We went to Jimmy Buffet's Margartiville for dinner, which was a really neat place, lots of singing, dancing and balloon hats! After dinner there, we did a little outlet shopping and headed back to the room!

We were up and out early Sunday morning and made a quick pit stop in Florence, SC to visit Graham's great great uncle who lives there who is ill. We had a quick visit with him and then headed home. Graham took a nice long nap in the car on the trip back and we were home by 3pm! Dean was very glad to see us all. Graham got settle back in at home with his daddy and Madison and mama and daddy headed home as well.

So, all in all, Graham's first beach trip was a HUGE hit! We had so much fun and he was just a little doll the whole trip! He was so entertaining and fun to watch! Of course, I took hundreds of pics that I will get loaded up in the albums this week. But, here are a few of my faves!

Graham - 1 Year, 40 Weeks

We had a nice low key 4th of July holiday, we were very glad to have a three day weekend. On Friday, we went to the lake for awhile, until the thunderstorms chased us away. Graham loved being in his boat and his fave thing is to sit on the steps in the pool. We played around at the beach area too, but didnt get to take the boat out. We hoped to go back on Saturday, but the weather didn't cooperate, so we just had a nice day at home after some errands and lunch out.

On Sunday, Dean's parents joined us for church and then came back home with us for a fondue lunch, which was very yummy. Graham slept through that part (he always eats his lunch before we leave the church, I pack it every Sunday and take it with us.) Then, he woke up from his nap right after we were done with the chocolate fondue and entertained us for awhile. We had a very nice visit.

Graham's vocabulary continues to explode. We are just amazed by the three and four word "sentences" that he is saying now and he can communicate with us so good. He is great with picking out letters from the alphabet and loves saying all the animal sounds. It is so fun watching him learn and develop!

This will be an exciting week coming up. On Thursday, Graham and I are going to Myrtle Beach with my mom and dad through Sunday. Dean is gonna stay behind and work and hang out with Madison. It will be Graham's first trip to the ocean, he has only been to lakes and rivers so far. There is a lazy river and a couple pools too, so that will be fun. I am sure I will take a few pictures...... so look out for those next week!
