Graham is doing much better this week. He got his over his stomach bug completely and was back to his normal eating routine and after a couple days on the medicine, his eyes and ears cleared up. He went back to daycare on Tuesday and everyone had missed him! However, Dean and I were both sick all week and through this weekend. We both just had cold, sinus, flu type symptoms and just couldnt seem to shake them. So far, Graham hasnt caught it from us, so hopefully, that will hold true!
I took him for a weight check on Friday and he was back up to 17 pounds and 9.5 ounces, so he seems to be back consistently gaining after his stomach bug, so that is good. He goes in next Friday for his 6 month check-up. I think he gets a couple shots. He has moved on to fruits for his daily food trials. He had bananas last week and this week he is working on pears. Next will be peaches and applesauce and then we will have hit all the fruit and veggies!
Now that the weather is finally warming up, we are getting to spend more time outside walking / stroller riding and just hanging out. We look forward to lots more of that! We also changed out his carseat from his infant carrier to his big boy convertible carseat. It is still rear facing until he is one year old, but he has a lot more room than he did in the infant carrier and so now we will just carry him in and out and the seat stays put. That infant carrier was just about unmanageable with how heavy he had gotten! He seems to like it so far.
We went to Olan Mills and had his six month and Easter pictures taken Saturday and got to see the Easter Bunny. So, stay tuned, I will have those photos to share soon!
Well, things have been sicky here again this week! First, on Wednesday, Graham came down with a stomach virus and couldnt keep anything down, so we had to stop his formula and give him only pedialyte. He had lost some weight when the doc saw him on Thursday, he only weighed 17 pounds, 4 ounces, which was the same thing he had weighed two weeks before! So, by Friday night, he started gradually getting some milk back and keeping it down, but his cold symptoms started returning!
So, my parents came to visit and they kept him on Sunday morning, so we didnt have to take him out in the cold to church and when we got home, we called into the doc and they wanted to see him. Sure enough, he has another ear infection and an eye infection. So, poor little fella just cant catch a break. I did get him weighed and he was back up to 17 pounds and 5.8 ounces, so that is good. at least he is over the stomach bug.
So, hopefully warmer days coming up will bring healthy times for all of us!
Graham has finally seemed to kicked his cold completely, but the teething is non-stop! Today, we discovered that a third bottom tooth (on the right side) has broken through! We knew he was working pretty hard on some, but we thought the next ones would be the top ones! He will keep us guessing! He has been eating peas the past few days and seems to be doing just fine with those! Green beans are next!
I had go out of town to Orlando kinda unexpectedly for work on Monday and Tuesday and so Dean and Graham were on their own! They did great, but of course, I missed them terribly! I brought them back Mickey Mouse souvenirs and got big smiles from both of them when they picked me up!
I was gradually packing up some of Grahams smaller 3-6 month clothes. This weekend I went ahead and washed up his 6-9 month clothes are sure enough he has been wearing them all weekend and they fit him perfectly. So, I just about finished packing up the rest of the 3-6 month outfits. I cant believe how fast he is growing!
Graham is continuing to sit up and roll over, off and on. We keep working with him and have lots of fun with him in the meantime. We got to go for a stroller ride on Sunday afternoon since the weather was so nice and we look forward to lots more outside time very very soon!
Hard to believe that Graham is five months old! He is doing a lot better this week. We went back to the doctor on Tuesday and the doc thought that the nebulizer was in fact clearing him up so he wanted us to continue it for awhile longer. So, we took it to daycare every day and they treated him twice a day and then we do it a couple times a day too, and he seems to be just about over the cold! yay! We also had him weighed when we were there and he was 17 pounds and 4 ounces! wow!
He continues to hit all kinds of milestones too. He is rolling over more and more often and as you can see here, he can sit for short little spurts, really really short, ha! So much fun!
Be sure and check out his five month album, we bought some new stuff for photo shoots and with a little help from Kelly and photoshop, we have quite the fancy set of pictures! He still loves to smile and laugh, so taking his picture can be lots of fun, when we time it just right!
