Graham - 2 Years, 13 weeks old

We had a fantastic and busy Christmas week. On Monday, Graham and I stayed home and worked on last minute to-do's. On Tuesday, we headed to Christiansburg to have Christmas with Kelly, Grey and Reed. We exchanged gifts, played, had lunch and had an overall great time. It is always funs watching the kids play together!

On Wednesday morning, we headed out to Dean's parents for the day. Graham was quite fascinated by the train that goes around and around their Christmas tree. My parents, Al, Michelle and Adam came over for lunch as well and then we spent the afternoon opening gifts and visiting. Graham totally was in to opening gifts and got lots more loot! We left there around 4pm and headed to the church for the evening service. And, Graham took his first nap of the day! He was so tired, but there was too much excitement to nap earlier. We had a very nice service and then headed home to get ready for Santa. We took the cookies and milk to put under the three and then Graham decided that he would have some for himself (pictures in previous entry). We each opened one gift and then headed to bed!

Graham slept til 730am the next morning and after breakfast we went to the tree. Graham was quite excited to see what all Santa left him and then we dug in to the presents. He liked sitting in the middle of the room and having the paper and bows all around him. We had lots of fun and lots of laughs. My favorite part was as he would be unwrapping a gift, he would say - kinda under his breathe.... "what is it, I dont know what it is" and then when he unwrapped it and saw what it was, he would yell it out. It was great fun to watch that!

Then, we got ready and headed to my parents house for the remainder of the day. Graham took a nap on the way there and then was ready to do it all over again. He wasted no time in starting to unwrap more presents! My granny was able to join us and loved watching Graham. Danah and Kenneth arrived and we had a big turkey dinner and then headed to the tree for more presents! Again, lots of goodies for everyone and Graham made out like a little bandit! After playing and playing, we headed home with Graham in his PJs late that evening. Sure enough, he fell asleep on the way home and slept straight through until morning!

Dean and I were off Friday and we had a nice low key long weekend at home. Of course, the biggest project was making room for all the NEW toys and books! We boxed up a lot of stuff and sent it to the basement to make room for all the new stuff! Graham is still loving all the new goodies and just goes from thing to thing! He was so much fun to watch this Christmas!

I did manage to get ALL the pictures from all our Christmas visiting loaded into the photo albums, so be sure and check them all out!

We head back to work on Monday, but will be off again on Tuesday and Wednesday and now we are just in wait and see mode to see when Miss Lillian is going to make her arrival!

Graham - 2 years, 12 weeks old

Another crazy holiday week! On Tuesday, I apparently came down with Graham's stomach virus. I had to leave work early and come home. I went in for a few hours on Wednesday morning for a meeting, then headed back home to bed. So, we missed the holiday party and Santa that afternoon at my office. I asked Graham that evening if he wanted to sit on Santa's lap and he firmly told me no...... so I dont guess we missed anything.

On Thursday evening, we headed to see Rachel for Dean and Graham to get haircuts. Graham did great. Rachel pulled out a sucker and the rest was history! Apparenlty that stuff standing straight up in his crown was natural curl and that was why it wouldnt lay down, so she cut it super short and she cut out all the rest of the remaining fine baby hair, she said it is really thickening up now! But, man, what a cowlick!!!! She even used the clippers all around his ears and on his neck and he didnt flinch a bit!

On Friday, I finished up my last day of work before Christmas, I will be off all week and Dean is only working Monday and Tuesday. We had a quiet day at home on Saturday, recovering from the week and making final holiday preparations.

On Sunday, we had a special service at church, as we were dedicating our brand new organ! Dean's parents met us at church for the service. Graham was excited to see them when they arrived and then eagerly headed to the nursery. Dean had a gorgeous solo and the new organ sounded great. After service, we enjoyed some extra nice refreshments, courtesy of the choir and then headed home. Dean's parents followed us home and we ate lunch while Graham napped. He woke up just as we were finishing up dessert!

He got to open a couple more presents, which he has totally mastered. They brought him some dinosaur legos and he was quite pleased! He is developing quite the dinosaur fascination these days! We had a nice visit and after some evening musical entertainment from Graham, they headed home.

We have a busy week with our families on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so look forward to lots and lots of pics next week! I will try to upload as quick as I can! And, then even more excitement the following week, as Graham's new cousin, Lillian Marie, is scheduled to arrive the day before New Years Eve! We can't wait to meet her!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Graham - 2 years, 11 weeks old

Another busy week of the holiday season! We have the house all decked out and Graham is very much enjoying all the decorations! Graham and I stayed on home on Monday to make sure he was over his stomach virus all the way. It took him a day or so to get his appetite back, but once he got it back - it was back in force, he is eating everything in sight and talking about eating all the time too! It is quite amusing!

We got his "Santa" pics back from daycare this week, minus the Santa part, ha! Atleast they got a cute pic of just him. I am gonna try one more time with Santa, he is visiting my office Christmas party on Wednesday, so we are gonna give that a try, if he still isn't interested, then NO Santa pics for us this year!

We had a full weekend of holiday celebrating! On Saturday morning, Graham and I had our annual holiday celebration with Stacy, Jordan and Meagan at my mom's house. The girls just loved playing with Graham and he was rather interested in their "dolls!" ha! We had food, fun and a great time. Later Saturday afternoon, Mom and daddy came to our house and they kept Graham while we went out to dinner for our holiday date night. We went to Stephen's and had a very nice dinner. We always love getting dressed up and having a nice night out!

On Sunday, we headed back to church and then came home and got ready for our annual Christmas dinner with Mom, Dad, Mark and Tammy. They all came to our house and we had a nice steak dinner and we opened lots of presents! Graham made out quite well, as you can see here on his inchworn with Elmo Live! He was very cute helping Dean put his inchworm together, he sat right with him, "working," the whole time!

I loaded several new photo albums of Christmas decorations, photo shoots and from our visits on Saturday. Got lots more to load!

Graham - 2 years, 10 weeks old

We are in full holiday swing around our house now! We started decorating inside and outside this week. On Thursday, Graham's class got a visit from Santa on Thursday, but as suspected, he and many of his classmates wanted nothing to do with him! I am not sure if we will even try again, might just have to wait til next year! He is enjoying watching us put up all the decorations and asking lots of questions though.

On Saturday morning, Graham and I performed a repeat of last weekend and headed to the final baby shower for Kenneth and Danah. It was lots of fun and there was a baby there that Graham enjoyed "talking" to. After the shower, Mama, Daddy, Graham and I went to Kenneth and Danah's for dinner. We had fun looking at their Christmas tree, the growing nursery and visiting with them. However, Graham got sick while we there, so we had to cut our visit short. Apparently, he had some kind of stomach virus hit him so he was throwing up off and on until early Sunday morning.

So, late Sunday morning, once he seemed to be feeling better, he and I headed straight home and didn't meet up with Dean at church. He took a long long nap and seemed to be feeling better when he got up, just not much appetite. We got most of the rest of the decorating done, including putting up the tree. Graham is quite interested in all the ornaments and packages and we had some fun checking it out after bath time on Sunday night! More pictures to come!!!!
