Graham - Week 47

Graham is getting closer to walking every day. Normally, it is just a couple steps here and there and occasionally standing alone. On Saturday, we went to Mama and Daddys to celebrate Daddys bday with a cookout. Graham was playing with his Great Granny Stoots and Dean was video taping them. I was sitting on the floor closeby. All of a sudden, Graham turned around and took three steps to me! And, we got it on video, that was so exciting! We had a fun time visiting.

Graham also continues to explore like crazy and get in to anything and everything. Any time he is crawling around in the kitchen, he makes a bee line straight for Madisons food and water dishes. It is like he knows he is not supposed to mess with them. They are not all that sturdy, but as you can see here he managed to pull himself right up on them and proceed to grab handfuls of Madisons food and throw all over the floor. Then, he would bend over and pick one piece at a time up and put back in the bowl!

We have finally turned the corner on the food! The past few weeks we had just backed off the table food and just proceeded with jars. Well, this past week, we started trying some finger foods again and now he is eating anything that we put in front of him! He has had chicken, brown beans, green beans, cheese, biscuit, lots of fruit, carrots, macaroni, potatoes, graham crackers, goldfish crackers and ritz crackers! It is great. We are still giving him some jars to make sure he is getting enough. He has been eating great for them at daycare and for us at home too! So, as you can see here, maybe he just needed to pick his own food out of the pantry!

Graham - Week 46

We are still getting over a little of this and a little of that! Hopefully, we are all about over it. Grahams appetite is back in full force, although he still isnt much interested in table food, but he continues to gobble down just about anything that we give him from a jar. So, I guess we will just keep giving him jars and trying some table food here and there. He does really well with "adult" applesauce so we are going through every flavor that they make in it!

Graham is also cutting his bottom two molars, so lots and lots of drool and he still wants to chew on everything that he can get in his mouth. I think these are taking a good bit longer to come in than some of the others did. That will be teeth number nine and 10, so it looks like he could have 10 teeth by his first bday!

Graham is still taking a step here and there and sometimes standing without holding on to anything, but as soon as he realizes it, then down he goes!!! He knows he is faster at crawling, and fast he is!!! We try to give him some walking time every day and some days he loves it and other days he would just as soon be rolling around on the floor! Everyone says it wont be long, I guess we will see!

Graham - Week 45

Graham was a little under the weather again this past week. His cold and congestion symptoms flared back up again and he had some trouble keeping some of his food and formula down when he started coughing alot. I went ahead and took him to the doc on Friday just to make sure that was all it was and the doc confirmed that and said we should start him back on the nebulizer again for awhile. He weighed in 22 and a half pounds while we were there.

Deans mom and dad came the end of the week to stay with us for a few days, so that has been nice. On Saturday, Dean and his dad planted two big maple trees in the back yard. Dean hopes some day that Graham will get to climb them! (Of course, I hope not, ha!) Cute pics below, just ignore the totally dead grass, although Graham was so interested in the dead grass, he never once tried to take his hat off!

Graham is still being super active and vocal. He learned a new word - Ball! He loves to play with his ball and now likes to call everything a ball! It is very cute! He is also starting to stand unassisted for a few seconds here and there and has taken a step or two on his own, but he is still not quite ready to take off walking. But, we are trying to give him lots of practice time. Right now, he would just prefer to drop to all fours and take off crawling. He hardly scoots on his belly anymore, he is up on all fours all the time now and his poor little legs and knees stay red and carpet burned all the time!

We are starting to gear up and get ready for his first birthday, I cannot believe it is only about six weeks away!!!!!

Graham - Week 44

Today was Deans birthday, so we had a big family cookout at our marina at the lake. Both parents and Michelle, Al and Adam came for the day. We cooked out and then spent the rest of the afternoon boating and swimming. It was VERY hot, but we still had lots of fun! Graham enjoyed the pool as always and Uncle Al was teaching him some new tricks in the water, he seems to be ready to just take off swimming! We really need to get him in some swim classes soon, hopefully, we are gonna see about something in the fall.

We got settled back in to the routine after being on vacation, no fun! The girlies all missed Graham at daycare. His is still the only boy, as they have gotten two more girls in his room! He doesnt seem to mind! He is keeping them and us on our toys, with crawling so fast, pulling up on anything and everything and being so curious and into everything!

We had Grahams official 10 month photo shoot on Saturday, caught him in a great mood and had lots of fun! I will try to get the pics loaded soon, but here is a sample. I did finally finish all the vacation pics about mid-week! So, check those out!
