Graham - 38 weeks

Well, we were back at the doctor this week, third week in a row! Grahams cold and congestion was persisting and he ended up with pink eye. There was also just a little lingering fluid from the ear infection. So, because of the pink eye, no daycare for two days, so Mama came down and stayed with us and kept him home so we could work, so that was nice. After a couple days on the antibiotic, his eyes cleared right up! He still has a little bit of a runny nose and he just cant completely shake that ole cough!

But, as usual, the sickness isnt keeping him down too much. He wants to be into everything and does not want to sit still or be held for too long. He would crawl all day if we would let him, I think!!! He still likes to walk with holding on too and he is standing for longer and longer stints every day too.

On Saturday, we went to Mama and daddys for a cookout, lots to celebrate - my birthday (which is actually Tuesday), then mamas is the next day. We also needed to celebrate Fathers day with our dads since we were out of town last weekend and Cals bday is also this week. So, Mama had Deans parents over as well as Kenneth and his new lady friend, Danah. My Uncle Danny and Aunt Doris came from Clintwood and Stacy and Jordan and Meagan also stopped by for a visit. So, we had a full day of family fun time. Graham did not want to nap, too much going on, but he did finally konk out a couple times. We also took Madison with us too, so we had the whole family. I will get some pics posted hopefully by Sunday evening. Graham will be nine months old next week, can you believe it! Photo shoot photos coming soon. Dean got me some lights and a new backdrop for my birthday! Stay tuned! Kenneth just loves having his picture made with his new do, so I thought I would post a few of him and Graham and Danah. We enjoyed meeting Danah and hope to see them again soon!

Graham - 37 Weeks

We took Graham back for a re-check of his ears Thursday and they were all clear and he finished up his medicine. Hopefully, he wont get another ear infection any time soon! And, hopefully, we will not be at the doc until his 9 month appt the first week of July!

Graham continues to be super active and crawling and standing and wanting to walk. He wants to be held less and less and just wants to go go go! He is also saying all kinds of new sounds, in addition to the dadada, we are also hearing mamamama and babababa, Not sure if he knows what they all mean, but it is neat to hear him say them.

On Friday evening, Graham and I joined Dean in Natural Bridge for the weekend. There were quite a few people from our church at the conference and some people, including the priest from Deans church in Fairfax. So, lots more people got to meet Graham. We went to service on Saturday morning and at the end of the choirs anthem, before the priest started talking again, Graham let out a big "aaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmm," which after service everyone was coming up to us and saying that they loved his AMEN at the end of the song! FUNNY! Dean sang in the choir and we enjoyed the service and hearing him sing. After that, we had breakfast with everyone and the rest of the day was ours. We went to see the Bridge! It was quite impressive. I had been there years ago, but Dean had never been. After the walk to the bridge, we took the Cedar Creek Trail and saw the Monacan Indian Village, the Saltpeter Cave, the Lost River and the Lace Waterfalls. The entire trail was along the creek and everything was so pretty. Graham sat straight up in his stroller taking everything in, it was lots of fun! We had our official anniversary dinner in the hotel dining room that evening.

On Sunday afternoon, Graham and I made a fast trip to Walmart to buy a swimming pool! Dean said to get one big enough for him too! So, sure enough there they were, even had sailboats all over them! So, we came home and set up our little pool party in the backyard. It was lots of fun! Graham absolutely loves being in the water! I think he might be part fish!!! Anyway, I think we will get lots of use out of it!

Graham - Week 36

Graham was back at the doctor this week, with what turned out to be ear infection number 3! He is feeling a lot better now, but has to take his medicine for the full ten days. Hopefully, he wont get another one any time soon. He also continues to be super active and finally on Sunday decided to pick his belly up off the floor when scooting around, so finally a crawler! And, we thought he was just going to skip it! He still likes to stand up and walk with your hands too.

We made our road trip with my parents this weekend for the anniversary party. It was fun and we got to visit with lots and lots of family. Everyone was very excited to get to see Graham! He enjoyed all the attention very much. It was his longest road trip yet, he is quite the little traveler.

Monday is our two year anniversary! So hard to believe! We are actually going to celebrate next weekend in Natural Bridge, Dean has a conference for church the end of the week and then Graham and I are going to go up and join him for the weekend. So, that should be lots of fun, and another trip for Graham!

Graham has pretty much outgrown all his 6-9 month clothes and I have just about packed them all away. He is mainly wearing 12 month outfits now and a few 12-18 month things. We are really enjoying the warm weather and not having to bundle up with blankets and hats and socks. Summer clothes are much more fun! We are having to put away alot of his "baby" stuff too, as he is moving in to bigger stage toys and playthings. It is sad and exciting at the same time!

Okay, I am gonna go try to get some pic albums updated, I am behind again!

Graham - Week 35

Graham went in for his 8 month weight check on Wednesday. He weighed in at 20 pounds and 2 ounces and was 29 and a half inches long! A growing boy, for sure! He is still really really active in his walker, jumper, rolling, etc, so maybe the weight will slow down a little once he adds walking to the mix. He is actually getting kind of close to walking. He can stand and hold onto things like the couch, coffee table, leap pad table, etc unassisted for a pretty good time and now he is getting really good at walking with holding onto our hands. We think he might just skip the crawling all together! He seems pretty content with rolling or army scooting to where he needs to get and now is really interested in the walking aspect!

On Saturday, we went to the Advance Company Picnic, it was a gorgeous summer day and we had lots of fun. There was a playground and we got on the swingset for the first time with Graham, so that was neat. Graham got to meet lots of people that I work with and was a big hit!

On Sunday, Mama and daddy and Mark and Tammy were going to join us for a cookout at the lake and then for some boating and swimming, but unfortunately, we woke up Sunday morning to pouring down rain, so we had to scrap that plan. We had tons of food that we had all prepared in advance, so we just "picniced" at our house instead. Dean grilled for us on the deck under the umbrella! It wasnt the same, but we still had fun! We will definitely re-schedule for another weekend!

Next weekend, Graham and I are making a little road trip with Mama and daddy to go Chesapeake for a 50th Anniversary Party for my Great Aunt Nancy and Uncle Johnny. We are looking forward to getting to see lots and lots of family, many of whom have never met Graham! So, that should be lots of fun!
