I just couldnt resist posting an update of Grahams little teeth. He is still chewing on his little hands like crazy! My cold got better, but his seems to still be lingering, particularly his little cough and now Dean has it too! So, I guess we will just keep passing it around amongst the three of us!
We went visiting the grandparents on Saturday, a full day! We spent the morning and lunch with my parents (and kenneth) and then stopped and spent the afternoon with Deans parents (and Michelle and Adam). When we got to Deans parents house, they had gotten some new furniture for themselves and also decided to get Graham a recliner to have at their house! Too cute! It is quite a bit too big for him now, but as you would guess, that didnt stop me from taking some pics of him hanging out in! It will be fun to watch him "grow" into it!
Grahams little front teeth continue to come on through a little more each day. He is constantly keeping his fingers or whole fist in his mouth! I have bought about every teething ring that I can find and his hands still seem to be his first choice! I guess this is the beginning of a long process!
I had a great first week at work. But, as I suspected, I didnt get to go visit Graham any at lunchtime. I did call and check on him about every day and he had a good week there. He even made his first artwork! He gets to bring it home next week, so I will be sure to share it here! He still enjoys taking in everything that is going on around him. We went out to dinner on Saturday night to a new place that recently opened, Carrabas Italian Grille and he was quite fascinated with all the hustle and bustle and flirted with quite a few waitresses! (phtoto below by our waiter).
I got a little behind on adding photos, but the baptism pics are all loaded now and his week 13 - 16 album is all full. I have a bit of a cold, that developed over the past couple days and I have apparently given it to Graham too! So, this weekend Dean has been taking care of both of us! We got lots of snow and ice today, so we just stayed in and napped and tried to take it easy and get better! Hopefully, we will better soon!
Big week for Graham - his baptism was Sunday morning! He was a little trooper! He slept a little on the way to church and woke up just before service started and ate a little at the beginning of service, then stayed awake through the entire service! He was all decked out in his white satin tux and was surrounded by his godparents and grandparents. The adult choir and childrens choir sang a special song for him - "Every Child is a Gift of God." He fussed a little here and there, but all in all, he did very well! We had a great day and I will get pictures posted soon.
The other big "family" news is that I start a new job on Monday morning. After two and a half years, I am leaving the non-profit world and heading to the corporate side! I am going to be the Manager of Public Communication at Advance Auto Parts Corporate Headquarters. I am very excited! So, now that Graham has transitioned into daycare and I have visited him there a lot, I will probably not be visiting during the day as often! We really like the center though and feel good about leaving him there. Hopefully, he will settle in a routine there!
Well, the big excitement this week was Graham starting daycare. It was a short week due to the holiday, so that was good. I went and visited each day, got to feed him twice and even took some photos! He seemed to adjust well and we are really happy with the center. We like his teachers and the way the facility runs, so that is good. He doesnt nap as much there as he does at home, he seems to want to stay awake and take everything in and watch everyone! He even seems to have a little girlfriend already! She is 11 days older than him and they do everything just alike!
I took him to be weighed on Friday and he weighed in at 13 pounds and 15.5 ounces, so lets just call him 14 pounds!!!! He is still growing pretty steadily every week! I have boxed up all the newborn outfits and gradually he is outgrowing his 0-3 month clothes and moving into the 3-6 month clothes! Hard to believe!
Next weekend, Graham will be baptized during the 11am service at church. We will have his godparents (all three sets), his grandparents and some friends all there for the ceremony. Then, afterwards, everyone is coming back to our house for a luncheon. Graham is still sleeping through church or at least most of it, every Sunday, so this will be very interesting. Hopefully, he wont sleep through his whole baptism! Needless to say, we have already tried his outfit on him and taken some pics and will take lots more next weekend to post!
