Graham - 2 years, 4 weeks old

I head out first thing Monday morning for a business trip again to Minnesota, so we spent the weekend getting things caught up around the house and ready for the boys to be on their own. I get back on Thursday evening just in time for Halloween! Like last year, we will get Graham from daycare early Friday and trick and treat at my office from 3 - 5pm and then hit a few houses in the neighborhood when we get home. So, that will be a nice return treat!

We had swimming lessons on Saturday morning, and although he is still not too happy when we get there and it is time to change and go in to the pool, etc. Once the lesson starts, he does so good. We could really see improvement and his teacher talked about how relaxed he was in the water and how he listened and responded to everything that she told him to do! So, we went ahead and signed up for the month of November as well! We will probably take December off and then start again after the holidays.

I finally got caught up on the photo albums. I was a good couple months behind, so be sure and check them out. I found this photo from a couple weeks ago and it is one of my faves. Graham has his few fave tv shows and he loves to curl up on the couch with his Pooh quilt and pillow and watch his shows. It is very cute as you can see!

Halloween pics next week!

Graham - 2 years, 3 weeks old

This was a very busy week and weekend. On Tuesday, we went to the ENT for Graham's 6 month follow-up on his tubes. The doctor said they look great and he was very pleased to hear about the lack of infections! So, he said he would see us again in six more months!

Then, on Wednesday morning, we had Graham's 2 year appt. He stood on the big boy scale and weighed in at 30 pounds and 14 ounces, 81st percentile, consistent with his pattern. For the first time, he stood up to be measured, which he thought was quite funny! He was 35 inches tall, which was 72nd percentile. She pointed out that he dropped from the 90th percentile where he has been for over a year because of the difference between laying down and standing up.

The biggest thing we discovered is that he is drinking way to much milk! She said he only needs about 16 ounces a day (sometimes he will drink that much at dinner!) So, we are gonna watch that. She also gave us the green light for all the foods that we have been holding back on for allergies! And, then he doesn't go back until he is three! But, I am quite SURE he will be back before then! Oh, and he got the flu shot, screamed for a minute, until the nurse offered him a sticker!

On Saturday, we headed to Ft Chiswell for the baby shower for Kenneth, Danah and Miss Lillian Marie! We had a great time at the shower and they got lots and lots of goodies! Graham napped at my parents house during most of the shower and then the guys brought him over to the shower for the end so Graham could see everyone. Granny was especially glad to see him, as she had not seen him in a good while! And, of course, Graham LOVED all the balloons and that was what he headed for as soon as he walked in.

So, here is a pic of me, mama and Sandy - the shower hostesses - and Kenneth and Danah and then a shot of Graham when he made his arrival!

Graham - 2 Years, 2 Weeks old We had a fun fall weekend this weekend. On Friday night, Graham went to his first high school football game as we went to watch cousin Adam play for Blacksburg High School. Graham enjoyed taking in all the sites and sounds and even sat still for a little bit, but there was lots of exploring to do as well! We met up with Michelle and Dean's parents and stayed til halftime. Graham fell asleep on the way home (his bedtime) and slept right through til Saturday morning!

On Saturday morning, we went back to swimming. His teacher says he is doing great and continues to make significant improvements. He floated on his back without her holding him for about 15 seconds! He is eager to take his turn and not afraid at all do go under water, etc, but he does still fuss a bit on and off throughout the lesson. His teacher is certain that the better he gets, the less he will fuss! It is really neat watching him make progress.

Then, when we left swimming lessons, we headed to the Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Patch in Christiansburg. We met up with Brad, Kelly, Grey and Reed. Graham had lots of fun on the hayride out to the pumpkin patch and found a small pumpkin that was just his size that he had to have! He really liked seeing all the animals in the petting zoo and couldnt get close enough! When we left the pumpkin patch, we stopped in to see Dean's parents, as they live just down the road, so that was nice. Then, we headed home and Graham slept all the way home!

On Sunday, we went to church and then Dean did some yard work and Graham and I hung out inside. Next weekend, we have a busy weekend. We are going to miss swimming and head to my parents early Saturday morning to help throw a baby shower for Kenneth and Danah. So, that will be a fun day as we unofficially welcome Graham's new little cousin!

Graham - 2 years, 1 week old

On Monday afternoon I took cupcakes and some of the leftover party decorations to daycare for Graham' party there. I got there right as nap time was ending, but Graham was the last one to wake up! He enjoyed his party and all the other kids did as well. It was lots of fun seeing them all in their Pooh party hats, eating cupcakes and playing with the balloons. It was a fun ending to all the bday celebrations we had been having!

On Saturday morning, we went back to swimming lesson after missing last week. He was not nearly as interested in going when we told him where we going and he fussed when we left him with his teacher, but he did so good in his lessons. One time he was actually floating on his back perfectly without the teacher touching him at all. She went on and on about how great he did, and said the fussing will get less and less in the weeks to come! Hope so!

On Sunday, Dean had a meeting after church, so my parents met Graham and I at the church and we went out to lunch while we were waiting on Dean. So, that was a fun treat. Graham continues to be quite talkative in church and now he is obsessed with the crosses around the church and has to point out every one that he sees (loudly)!

Graham had fall pictures taken at daycare a couple weeks ago and they came in this week, of course I couldnt resist buying both poses, they were just so good!!!!!!!!
